CLIENT DILEMMA | Dilemma 1
Goal
Our client created a brand new, comprehensive product catalogue, in order for them to reach a
larger potential market than their current client base within the Blue Chip and SME markets.
Dilemma
As the catalogue was large, the production and mailing costs would have be been cost prohibitive to
send out thousands without prior request.
Request
Come up with a cost effective means of creating a mailing list of potential clients, with an
interest in the products, to send them a catalogue.
Solution
With close consultation with the client:
• Create mailing lists of target markets.
• Produce an eye-catching flyer with copy written for specific market sectors.
• Print full colour leaflets using variable data and branded envelopes.
• Mail out a regular amount per week, over a 6 month period.
• Follow up all mailings via telesales, recording response and feedback.
• Mail out requested brochure to interested parties.

CLIENT DILEMMA | Dilemma 2
Goal
To reduce the total cost per year of 4 regular publications.
Dilemma
The recipient’s needed to be reached without reducing impact, content or readership of all
publications.
Request
Propose cost saving measures across the complete spread of marketing material.
Solution
• Produce the 2 publications to a more cost effective size.
• Make subtle design changes to ensure better use of space of the affected publications.
• Combine mailing of further 2 publications, dramatically reducing mailing costs.
• Redesign newsletter to give better brand awareness, and mail out in branded envelopes.
Full implementation of a comprehensive proposal put forward to our client, has resulted in
a saving of approximately £30,000 per annum, without any compromise to quality or impact
on any publication. Following Constructive Media taking on the sales of advertising, creation
and production of all publications, a stronger branding was achieved, advertising revenue
has greatly increased and overall quality of all publications enhanced.

CLIENT DILEMMA | Dilemma 3
Goal
To reach all accounts and stores with a monthly brochure, with limited budget and time.
Dilemma
Inform and advertise monthly special offers and new products in a B2B market.
The brochure alters in pagination from 12 to 24 pages each month depending on offers and
products. Whilst needed to reach the recipient as soon as possible at the beginning of each
month, offer prices need to be left to the last moment.
Request
Handle the production and distribution where cost and speed is vital. Mail out to a constantly
updated mailing list, and supply back to the client a shipment for further distribution.
Solution
• Reduce weight of paper
• Change size of magazine from A3 to A4
• Pre print approximately 6 months supply C4 envelopes
• Manual fulfilment
Substantial cost and time savings were made by the changes implemented; the magazine is
supplied via our secure FTP and put into production rapidly. PDF proofs are created and approved
within hours of receipt of the file and on press soon thereafter. The pre printing of a bulk supply of envelopes increases brand awareness and saves valuable time. Manual fulfilment is both more cost effective and quicker on a mailshot of this quantity. A supply is also dispatched direct to the client direct for further distribution to shops.
